This is Litherland Sidings Signal Box.It was constructed in 1900 for sidings on the North side of the line, but opening was delayed until 1901 whilst extra sidings were added on the South side of the line. The signalbox closed on 8th November 1964 and was replaced by a small ground frame to control the remaining tar works sidings. The ground frame was taken out of use in November 1970 and closed from 2nd February 1971.
