'The Western,' (a separate boys and girls school in the 1960s and earlier) as it used to be known became Western First School and Middle School until amalgamation, Subsequently, Western Community Primary School was built on the sports field across Rutland Road in 2002-2003. The School was 'formally,' opened in January 2004.
