2ndWW small surface blast shelter of a size commonly found on barrage balloon operating sites. Also, to the left, can be seen the two concrete pads which at one time held a pair of Nissen huts to provide accommodation for the operators.

The Trafford Park industrial area was once well-served by its own network of railway lines. These are now nearly all gone. The railways ran along the roads, or at the side of the roads, to reach far into the Park from adjacent main line railways. A number of the railway lines can be seen in this photo.
