| Original Milton Road ground, Cambridge Town AFC 1922-51/City 1951-2013. Record crowd 12,058 v Leytonstone 11/2/1950. In 1985 financial problems led to the club selling much of the site and building a new and much smaller facility on the remainder. A dubious deal by the then directors of the club in selling the site for a sum well below market value led to legal proceedings which found in favour of the club, who nevertheless moved to share at Histon while seeking approval for a new stadium in the city |
