XL-P flew with No.1335 (METEOR) CONVERSION UNIT. It is probably EE228, one of the first operational Meteors originally allocated to the famous 616 Sqn

Bellman Hangars. IIRC, by the mid 1980's only the 2 nearest the camera were still standing (just).

In the mid 1980's this building was the Supply Sqdn. The 4 similar sized buildings in the row were known as the T Blocks (1T, 2T, 3T & 4T) as they were used for training engineering technicians (mainly ground electronic engineering - radios, radars etc)

PO-P ex 467 sqn identity PD418 .Sqn based at scampton,bottesford ,waddington and lastly at metheringham.

PD418 was sent to locking Aug 45 and became a ground instructional airframe , identity changed to 5736M
