I was billeted in one of these huts in June 1949 until May of 1950 when we were all shipped out to RAF Cosford. I enlisted as a Flight Mechanic Engines in No7 Entry Boy Entrants.

Seems like it became an aircraft disposal sight - I see Spitfires, Tempests, Beaufighters, a Lancaster with its wings off, Halifax, Mosquitos and possibly even a Meteor. On the opposite side of the building is a scrapyard of mainly Beaufighter fuselages. All had to be towed up the road from Weston Aerodrome or down the road from the Banwell factory.
