Pulp Yard - the main raw material was imported wood pulp from Scandinavia and Canada. Brought by lighter from Rochester.

"Ballast Pit" so called because ballast was dug from here in the building of the mill. Subsequently used for settling the process water.

Water intake point. Low level pumps raised the water at all states of the tide, screened it and passed it to the "Ballast Pit" for settling.
