2ndWW Victory ship, still with its fore and aft gun platforms and six anti-aircraft gun positions in place. Part of the name *** Victory can be made out.

This appears to be the first of the USA tanks to be placed in Southampton Docks. The first loco, number 4326 built by Vulcan, started a trial of several months in May 1946. As this image was taken in June 1946, this is before the additional 13 locos were purchased in 1947, after the trial was successfully concluded. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR_USA_class

It appears to have an 8 wheeled tender which were never used by 2-6-0 locos, and so it must possibly be a "King Arthur" 4-6-0.
