This was the School Sergeant's House. I believe the property came with the job of Caretaker for the school and grounds. From about 1967 to 1972 and likely before and after those years we knew him as Sergeant Dean. An ex military man that barked at most of the kids regularly although was never a teacher. This was the year that Pupils were graded from for the rest of the school class system up to the sixth form.
