| I don't think we should forget that the 'beastly' Hun's as they were referred to in the Great War, also came over London and unprovoked, again, bombed innocent women and children 25 years before the Blitz of 1940. At this site the Infant School, now named the Mayflower School, 18 children between the ages of 4 & 11 were killed by one explosive bomb dropped during an air raid on 13th June 1917.
