This is now a children's playground known locally as the pit park off Joyce Green Lane on Temple Hill Estate.

As a child in the 1950s I used to live in Keyes Road and play here (by then it had been engulfed by the Temple Hill housing estate). Sadly the council then "civilised" (read ruined) it by leveling it and putting in swings etc.
