Following the construction of 'Silvertown Way' circa 1935, the London Transport Passenger Board set up new trolley bus routes in 1937/8. They were routes 685, 569 and 669, and terminated close to the Free Ferry and foot tunnel at North Woolwich. They were replaced by buses in 1960. |
