Manor House built 1822-1825, gardens laid out after 1913. Became the Lady Nelson Convalescent Home for employees of English Electric in 1951. Unused from 1988. Demolished 2010. A small summerhouse was frquented by J. M. Barrie. A plinth at the top of a grass slope used to carry a copy of the Kensington Gardens statuette of Peter Pan, and the slope was known as the Peter Pan Walk. This garden or other land is registered under the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act 1953 within the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens by English Heritage for its special historic interest.
