Route of old canal, abandoned when the railway drained and built their line mostly along its bed. The railway line can be seen on the right, and rejoins the canal further along. This is a very historic bridge. It carries the Paisley Canal railway line over the White Cart water. It is the oldest bridge in the world that still carries a railway, having been originally built as a canal bridge in 1810 by Thomas Telford, long before the railways were established. I would argue this is facing north and is part of the Clark and Co. Anchor Mills Thread Works. It seems to be the easternmost part of the Anchor Recreation area crossing north over the White Cart.
