Old Rochester market

This is the River Medway, not the Thames!

Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School buildings on Free School Lane, built around a section of the old city walls. Following the school’s relocation to a site on Maidstone Road in 1968, the old buildings were demolished to reveal the old city walls.

Site of Chatham Central, the terminus of the short lived South Eastern Railway’s branch from Strood, built to compete with the still extant London, Chatham and Dover Railway route.
