Southdown Motor Services Leyland Cub. Usually only lighter single deck buses were used for this service due to decreasing weight restrictions applied to the old bridge until it was replaced by a concrete bridge in 1956.

Langston level crossing. The scene of long traffic hold-ups on summer Saturday's. The white ship lap boarded house is still there today.
