Large hotel built by Joseph Wade who also promoted the railway. It may have been demolished by 2020 and is to be replaced by a similar building housing apartments.

Goods vehicles parked in platform 1. The goods yard was at the next station: Hornsea Bridge.

The turntable was located at the other side of the station top left.

A great shame this photo is damaged. The railway crosses the road here and goes into single track onto a turntable. If you where to model this it would be condemned as a flight of fancy!

I believe the engine ran past it's train to reach the turntable which was at the other end of the station. Withernsea had a turntable at the end of the line but replaced with a point in later years.
