Not from York originally - born in St Albans Hertfordshire. But have lived in York since the late 1980s, and being an archaeologist/local historian, I am very interested in the history of where I live. Currently erring on the side of industrial history ... I am interested in York and the area around Yorkshire, because my Ancesters came from around that area, and as I am doing my Family tree, I am trying to learn more about where they were born worked and lived, So I am hoping to learn some thing of the area.
