' SS Manistee under construction. The ship was built for the Irish fruit firm, Fyffes. It sailed between the Caribbean and the UK before WWII. The ship was lost with all hands when it was sunk by torpedo off the coast of Ireland in February 1941. It had been part of convoy OB 288. '
