Headquarters of Museums. Area Council until 2006 then standing vacant.
Early/mid C19 (built 1824) with later additions.
Red brick with stone dressings, slate roof hipped to left and prominent ridge and end stacks.
Severe fire at property October 2013, and further severe damage in a further fire in January 2014. Little now remains of the outbuildings. The house is a burned out shell.
