' The 'Reay Gear Works' at the bottom of Prince Consort Rd. Later it became George Angus & Co (Gear Division) & later still Richardson Westgarth Transmissions or RW Transmissions. I know this as I worked at RWT from 1966 to 1971 as a Fitter. It finally closed mif 1970s & the land is now a Housing Estate called 'Tyne View' '
