' Proposed location of Bushey Heath station as the terminus for the Northern line extension from Edgware. Although construction of the extension was started it was halted in 1940 due to WW2. The plans were reviewed and revised for many years but construction did not recommence, the scheme only finally being abandoned in 1954! '
