' The Clifton Cinema opened on 24th October 1938 with the film "Happy Landing" and it closed after showing "Can Can" on 4th November 1961. It held 1100 patrons and was the last cinema to open in Wolverhampton before the War. Acknowledgement to Keith Farley's book "At The Flicks" '
