These sheds were built by the Newcastle Shipbuilding Company who started up in 1919 & went bankrupt 1921. They stood unused until the end of the 1920s when the Reay Gearworks took them over. Later Geo Angus took over & later still RW Transmissions. RWT closed down in the mid 70s & now the land is a Housing Estate. Photo from my www.oldtyneside.co.uk website '
