' The lines of these paths have been retained when the whole area became a public park, 1930 onwards. The little houses centre-left have remained as private dwellings, in the middle of the public park, into the 21st century. The paths were lined with horse chestnut trees, although my understanding is (2013) that these are susceptible to disease and will have to be replaced within the next few years, by other species. '
