You entered into a rather dark and gloomy booking hall, then went through the ticket barrier, turned left and climbed up the stairs which led onto the bridge that crossed the tracks. If you used the bridge to cross over to Broadwater Road on the other side of the tracks you still had to pay for a ticket to do that. I think it was 3d. '
