' Metropolitan District Railway open 1884. Piccadilly services commenced 1933 and District Line services ceased in 1964. This being 1931, several District Line trains can be seen in the platforms. Today it is no longer a open-air terminus as tracks now drive down into a short tunnel to the valley of the River Crane on their way to Heathrow. The octagonal station building remains, with car parks over the new station. '
