' 1921: Hereford Racecourse, In 1921 the horse races would have crossed Holmer Road (twice)on a looped circuit around the east side (behind what is now Dunhelm, Halfords, Comet, B&M area) - as traffic issues grew it was later entirely re-positioned approximately 250 yards further to the west.(almost out to Westfields) this action freeing up East Holmer Road for future development. '
