' The Queens Hotel, Hope Road. I used to walk past here as a child and sneak into the outbuildings between the pub and the bowling green and collect bottle tops...I still remember the smell of beer eminating from the place. The bowling green is now gone, replaced by a car park I believe, and I think the pub may now be closed down, although I'm not sure about that! '
