Southdown Bus Garage 1929 – 1953 off Eastgate Street. The garage was leased to Southdown by the Every family, owners of the Phoenix Ironworks. The garage, demolished circa 1970, housed two double decker buses. Where the bus garage once stood is now the carpark at the north end of the supermarket (presently Waitrose).
