' Spillers grain warehouse, completed in 1935. The associated roller flour mill had an output of 10 tons of flour per hour. In 1920 about 80 per cent of our wheat for flour was imported through docks like Avonmouth, Cardiff and Birkenhead. Today only 18.5 per cent is imported and milling is done in huge complexes such as the one at Bugbrooke, near Northampton, and the port mills are mostly redundant. '
