The original street-level building of the first Watford station built by the London & Birmingham Railway. This building survives, but is now almost entirely concealed by an adjacent modern high-rise development. Nothing remains of the old track-level buildings.
The station was rebuilt on its current site when the St Albans branch was opened in 1858.
