Lawnswood House, built pre 1860 home of George Walker a Merchant who sold it to Thomas Stuttard Esq. J.P. Cotton Merchant. The house was occupied by his daughter Miss Constance Annie Stuttard until her death aged 90 in 1965. Lanes Construction Co built the bungalows and houses which now stand there around 1966/67. '
