' Bomb / Air-raid shelter. Just off Haydon Road. Just about here. Dug into the bank, filled in when I last looked,, site of what I think was a small WW2 era Bomb / Air-raid shelter for Bushey. Standing room for 30-40 people. Rightly blocked-off, we would get in anyway. As 9-10 YO kids, used to play in it - late 60s. Damned dangerous in hindsight, it was set to cave-in. '
