' Remains of embankment on originally intended route of Swindon, Marlborough & Andover Railway. Intended to tunnel under Old Town the work was abandoned owing to unstable geology hampering excavation of the tunnel. This area was much used for brick making and the flooded abandoned clay pits were developed later into Queens Park. '
