PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE, BROAD STREET. Originally opened in 1856 as the Royal Music Hall, it went through several ownerships and name changes until it suffered a direct bomb hit on 9th APRIL 1941which completely destroyed the auditorium. The theatre never reopened and the frontage was finally demolished in 1987 to make way for the NEW BIRMINGHAM SYMPHONY HALL which opened in 1991. '
