Lady Judith Montefiore College. Lady Judith was married to Sir Moses Montefiore, the Jewish Philanthropist. Born in 1784, her father was the Dutch businessman Levi A Barnet Cohen. Her sister Hannah was married to Nathan Mayer Rothschild, the head of the Rothschild family. On Judith's death in 1862 Sir Moses established the College dedicated to her memory as a rabbinical training college. '
