' Midland Railway hydraulic power house. This supplied hydraulic power to the No. 4 grain/bonded warehouse for it's lifts, hoists etc. and also powered the capstans in the sidings serving the warehouse. It also supplied power to capstans serving No. 1 grain warehouse which was rented by Bass and Co. Boilers supplied steam to operate pumps which pumped water into an hydraulic accumulator which supplied a steady hydraulic pressure all the time. '
