MI5 safe house - 35, Crespigny Road, Hendon. From (about) May 1942 to after the end of the Second World War, this was the home of Juan Pujol Garcia, aka Agent Garbo (MI5), aka Agent Arabel (Abwehr, the Nazi foreign intelligence and espionage organisation) and his family. Juan Pujol Garcia, MBE and Iron Cross, was one of the key wartime agents involved in the Double Cross deception of Hitler and the German high command as to the place and timing of the invasion of France in 1944.
