The company started in Drury Lane, London in 1890. In 1898 they moved into premises in South Street on the corner of Scotland Green Road that had been a crepe factory from 1809-1894. The factory was damaged on 19th April 1941 by a land mine and a V1 bomb on 30th August 1944. The factory closed in 1991.
