' What appears to be an old gravel working. It was still in water and not yet in filled. When this was done, it would become a timber yard and is currently the site of Travis Perkins builders' supplies. There are plans to build a hotel on the site (having just closed another near Rickmansworth Met!) I hope they don't anticipate building a basement as the water table would practically be at the surface here. '
