' The Rayners Hotel would be built here. It has now been closed for a number of years. The building is Grade II listed, but it lies abandoned and neglected. One wonders whether the game plan is to allow it to reach such a state of dereliction that it becomes unsafe and has to be demolished. The state of the pub mimics much of the surrounding area with regard to neglect and dereliction. '
