This area was a lovely piece of Metroland known as the Chalkhill Estate. In the latter part of the '60s it was swept away and replaced by a revolting high-density local authority housing estate.
It quickly gained a notorious reputation for anti-social behaviour and criminality. Although having been redeveloped once again, it's reputation has not improved. '
