' This track or road was once the main road from Thetford to Mundford & Stoke Ferry and passed over the railway just west of the station by a level crossing. The level crossing was removed in the 1880s and thus closing the road at this point. A new road was built just north of the Crosxton Road railway bridge and joined the old Mundford Road aprox. 300 yards north of the former level crossing. '
