' Cross (PE36 6BQ) Listed Grade 2 - English Heritage Building ID: 221213 Base and shaft of cross. Medieval. Carstone and Yorkstone. Stone base with shields, moulded shaft, 7 steps. Formerly in Old Hunstanton, removed here as part of development of New Hunstanton by the Le Stranges of Hunstanton Hall. - In 1846, Henry Styleman Le Strange decided to develop the area south of Old Hunstanton as a sea bathing resort. In 1846 Le Strange moved the ancient village cross from Old Hunstanton to this new site. '
