' Letchmore Road was the site of one of the earlier schools in Stevenage and which was founded in 1910. The writer attended this school when it was a boys' junior school in 1950, prior to the transfer to Fairlands Primary School in January 1951. The Letchmore Road School became an Infants' section following this re-organisation and it continues to thrive to this day. The accompanying image was taken during a nostalgic visit in April 2015. '
