Former racecourse, now park, my photo is similar shot taken 2014. Top right corner running past the curved section is Louise Road. The "stadium" adjoining the top edge of the park must be the training ground of the Drill Hall. It has reduced in size in the 2014 shot. Park still bears the scars of military use. A 1946 shot http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/image/eaw008860?search=northampton&ref=69 shows the Military still installed there.
