The Empire Theatre - long gone. I now realise why the Empire Salon Hairdressing Salon on this site which I used to frequent in the 1970s (and later relocated to New London Road) was so-called |

At last i have found someone who remembers this salon, i couldn't remember the name of it, but my mum used to take me there when i was young, i wasn't born until the early 1970's and i remember the salon being small and set back a bit from Springfield Rd and it was right next to the river on the end of a few shops with railings along the river edge. thanks |
