The cement works in the left forground is the Fondu works, Lafarge aluminous cement co.ltd.The other cement works in centre of picture is the Tunnel portland cement works.Both of these works were seperated by a narrow strip of chalk/land between them.Today on this narrow strip the M25 motorway runs (on right)towards the QE11 bridge and Dartford tunnels. |
