| Former police houses built in 1946 at the eastern end of Haycroft Road. This contributor lived in 126 Haycroft Road until the end of February 1953, before moving to South Oxhey, Watford. |

| Greydells Road, newly laid out and awaiting a concrete finish. This correspondent used to cycle down this road towards Sish Lane in 1951, and it was the way to Fairlands Primary School, opened in January 1951. |
